Kirk Cousins has been linked to multiple teams for months now, but each of those teams has made some sort of move in the draft.

The Minnesota Vikings were the only team linked to Cousins that did not draft a quarterback, instead, they traded for Sam Howell, who is still only 25 years old and has been a decent backup since entering the league.

The Cleveland Browns shocked many people by drafting Dillon Gabriel in the third round but would still select Shedeur Sanders in the fifth and now have a five-quarterback room including Deshaun Watson. The chances of Cousins ending up in Cleveland are practically zero.

The Pittsburgh Steelers also shocked a lot of people by not drafting Sanders, but ended up drafting Will Howard in the sixth round and potentially finding their starter for the season in Day 3. He also came off of a National Championship and will look to potentially be the future in Pittsburgh.

The Tennessee Titans kicked things off with Cam Ward, while many other teams like the Colts, Seahawks, Raiders and Dolphins all chose a backup quarterback in this draft. These were all teams that could have been in the running for Cousins if it was not for the contract.

Cousins at the moment looks to be intact with the Falcons as they might end up keeping him as a backup, whether that’s what he wants or not, at the moment it is what the Falcons might do. No team is currently looking for a backup who is owed $45 million in guaranteed money at the moment, especially after the draft.

The Falcons will continue to look for deals but at the moment not much will be done.
