Take a look at new Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Riley Leonard, who the team drafted in the sixth round out of Notre Dame.
In 2024, his first season with Notre Dame, Leonard completed a career-high 66% of his throws at 7.0 yards per attempt with 21 touchdowns to six interceptions. He did a good job taking care of the football and also rushed for 982 yards as he helped lead Notre Dame to the National Championship game.
“I just think the athletic ability that he has at the quarterback position, what he was able to do at Notre Dame this year, leading them to the national championship (game) speaks volumes of the player and the competitor that he is,” Shane Steichen said via the Indy Star.
