We’re following the Lions‘ picks all over this weekend, but it can also be interesting to see how picks that were traded ultimately pan out as well. Here, we’ll take a look at the picks the Lions traded away in their various moves this weekend and what those selections ended up becoming.
Lions-Broncos trade
The Lions moved up three spots in the second round to select Georgia guard Tate Ratledge. They traded picks 60 and 130 to the Denver Broncos for picks 57 and 230, which turned out to be Georgia safety Dan Jackson.
With the 60th pick, the Broncos took RJ Harvey, running back, Central Florida. Denver traded No. 130 to the Eagles, who then traded the pick to the New York Jets. New York took Alabama safety Malachi Moore.
Lions-Jaguars trade
The Lions made a big jump in the third round, going from No. 102 to No. 70 to select Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa. Detroit also got No. 182 this year and a 6th-round pick next year from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Detroit sent the Jaguars both of their third-round picks in next year’s draft, including the compensatory pick they received for Aaron Glenn becoming head coach of the New York Jets.
Pick No. 102 would go to Houston and then Minnesota, who used the pick to select Maryland wide receiver Tai Felton.
Lions-Patriots trade
The Lions moved up from No. 182, the pick they received from the Jaguars, to No. 171 to select LSU guard Miles Frazier. Detroit sent pick No. 228 to the New England Patriots.
At pick 182, the Patriots took the first kicker of the draft, Andres Borregales of Miami. They traded pick 228 to the Kansas City Chiefs, who took SMU RB Brashard Smith.
