The New England Patriots announced three finalists for the team’s Hall of Fame on Thursday. Kicker Adam Vinatieri, wide receiver Julian Edelman and guard Logan Mankins were the three finalists revealed.

Vinatieri was one of the most prolific kickers of all time. He played for 24 NFL seasons and made 599 career field goals with the Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. He has the most points scored in NFL history with 2,673. Most remember him for the game-winning kicks he made for the Patriots at Super Bowl XXXVI and Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Julian Edelman recorded 620 receptions for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns in 12 seasons with New England. Some of his best performances came in the postseason, where he trails only Jerry Rice and Travis Kelce for receptions and receiving yards. He also earned the Super Bowl LIII MVP when the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams.

Meanwhile, Mankins played in 11 seasons for the Patriots and was named to six Pro Bowls. He also received six All-Pro honors. His contributions have led to him being named to New England’s All-2000s and All-2010s teams.

All three Patriots nominees are worthy of induction, and there’s a good chance they will all get in at some point. They all played a role in the Patriots’ historic dynasty and left their mark in different ways.

It’s just a waiting game at this point.
