While Quinn Ewers was waiting for his name to be called at the NFL draft, the Texas quarterback drew some viral attention for something entirely unrelated to football.

Ewers was once seen as a top prospect of his class, but fell out of the first three rounds as teams in need of a quarterback turned to other options instead. There was a significant focus on Ewers as Day 2 continued, with speculation from ESPN’s coverage about where he could land and a camera trained on him while he waited.

With ESPN’s coverage tuned in to Ewers at his family’s home, some fans took note of an odd detail — a wall with trophy animal heads and fully stuffed animals behind him. The wall was filled with deer, moose, bears, and even antelope heads.

“Most accurate rifles in the Ewers household: 1. Quinn’s arm 2. Whatever his dad’s hunting with,” noted Barstool Sports in a post on X.

“Exactly how I pictured a guy named Quinn Ewers house to look like,” another fan wrote on X.

Ewers did get some attention for football-related reasons as well, especially as his draft slide took him through the second and third rounds. Both Ewers and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders were expected to go relatively early, with Sanders pegged as a first-round pick by many analysts and Ewers seen as a second- or third-rounder.

Instead, both Sanders and Ewers will be forced to tune back in for the third and final day of the NFL draft to learn where they will land for 2025.
