The Lady Vols earned their ranking after sweeping Auburn in a SEC series April 17-19 at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. Tennessee has won five of its six SEC series, including road series victories at Oklahoma and Texas. Tennessee earned its first series sweep in 2025 against Auburn.
Tennessee is one of seven SEC teams ranked in the top 10 by Softball America. Texas A&M is ranked No. 2, Texas No. 3 and Oklahoma is ranked fifth. Arkansas, who won a series against the Lady Vols, is No. 6, while Florida is ranked eighth and South Carolina is No. 10.
Tennessee has won five consecutive games and will host No. 20 Clemson (37-12, 16-5 ACC) Tuesday at 6 p.m. EDT. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT and ESPNU will televise the contest.
