There are only three days until the start of the 2025 NFL draft and we still don’t know if the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to pick a quarterback or not. Pittsburgh still seems to be willing to hold out hope for Aaron Rodgers and the team feels content with Mason Rudolph if necessary. But if the Steelers do go for a quarterback in the draft, the team could do much worse than Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, multiple NFL coaches and scouts love Milroe’s ability to run the ball, going so far as to say he’s the best runner of the football from the quarterback position they’ve ever seen. This includes guys like Lamar Jackson and Mike Vick. Even putting Milroe in that conversation is high praise but to put Milroe ahead of guys like them is hard to believe.
We’ve been on the record saying Milroe has the highest ceiling of any quarterback in this draft, including Cam Ward, who is going No. 1 overall. If a quarterback is in play for the Steelers, Milroe is hard to pass up.
