This past week, there were certainly multiple takeaways from what we saw from SEC baseball as a whole, coming both on-and-off the field.
Starting with on the field, one of the more anticipated college baseball series’ of the season took place, and that three-game set certainly delivered on the hype it garnered going in, producing one of the nation’s most surprising results of the weekend.
In addition to that, places such as Knoxville and Nashville played host to ranked series’, each of which produced noteworthy results in their own right.
Off the field, the last seven days were certainly notable for the conference as well, as the SEC saw its’ first coaching change of the season, taking place early in the week.
So, coming out of yet another loaded week in the conference, here are the latest SEC baseball power rankings with only two weekends remaining in the 2025 regular season.
16. Missouri Tigers
- Previous Ranking: No. 16
Missouri remains winless in SEC play at 0-24 against conference opponents following a home sweep from Georgia, meaning that the Tigers current losing streak now sits at 11-straight games. Pairing those results with a midweek loss at Kansas, Missouri (13-34 overall) will look to snap that skid this week against the Jayhawks and Texas A&M, the latter of which is in College Station.
15. South Carolina Gamecocks
- Previous Ranking: No. 15
Now sitting at 26-23 overall (5-19 in SEC), South Carolina began this past week with a home win over Charleston Southern, but went on to be swept by Florida in Columbia where they were outscored in all across the three games, 39-8. The Gamecocks will play at Auburn this weekend.
14. Kentucky Wildcats
- Previous Ranking: No. 13
Kentucky struggled mightily this past week where the Wildcats went winless with losses against Western Kentucky and Mississippi State to now enter this week riding a four-game losing streak. Now sitting at 25-20 overall, as well as 10-14 in SEC play, Kentucky will look to snap their four-game losing streak at home this weekend against the Oklahoma Sooners.
13. Mississippi State Bulldogs
- Previous Ranking: No. 14
After parting ways with head coach Chris Lemonis earlier in the week, Mississippi State posted an impressive week in which they went undefeated with home wins over Memphis and Kentucky, the latter of which was a sweep. As a result, the Bulldogs enter this week sitting at 29-19 overall (10-14 in SEC), and will host rival Ole Miss in Starkville for a three-game set this weekend.

- Previous Ranking: No. 8
Ole Miss originally began this past week with a win over Austin Peay, but went on to drop two-of-three over the weekend at Oklahoma, bringing the Rebels’ record to 33-15 overall. Also 13-11 in SEC play, Ole Miss will travel to face in-state rival Mississippi State this weekend.
11. Texas A&M Aggies
- Previous Ranking: No. 12
After a midweek victory over Lamar, Texas A&M had one of the more impressive weekends of any SEC team as they took two-of-three at home over LSU to win the series. The Aggies are now 27-20 overall, as well as 10-14 against conference opponents, ahead of a road trip to Houston, which will be followed this weekend by a home series with Missouri.
10. Florida Gators
- Previous Ranking: No. 11
The Florida Gators have now won four-straight games following a road sweep at South Carolina in which they had an impressive showing, outscoring the Gamecocks a combined 39-8. Now riding a four-game winning streak, Florida is now 33-16 overall for the season (11-13 in SEC) ahead of a home game against USF, which will be followed by a road series at Texas.

Alabama’s lone action this past week came via a weekend series in which they dropped two-of-three at Vanderbilt, with the Crimson Tide actually holding a lead late in the decisive Game 3. After their midweek game against Wichita State was cancelled, Oklahoma went on to take two-of-three from Ole Miss at home to now sit at 32-14 overall, as well as 13-11 in SEC play. The Sooners are set to travel to Kentucky this upcoming weekend.

Vanderbilt’s record now sits at 34-14 overall, as well as 14-10 in SEC play, following a week in which they took two-of-three from Alabama at home, while also defeating Indiana State. Next up for the Commodores are challenging road matchups this week at both Louisville and Tennessee.

Georgia is now riding a six-game winning streak following an impressive stretch that included wins over Kennesaw State and Missouri. The Bulldogs sit at 39-11 overall (15-9 in SEC) ahead of a road series at Alabama this weekend.
3. LSU Tigers

LSU originally opened this past week with a home route of Southeastern Louisiana, but went on to drop the series at Texas A&M over the weekend by losing two-of-three. Now sitting at 38-11 overall, as well as 15-9 in SEC play, LSU is set to host both Grambling State and Arkansas in Baton Rouge this week.

One of the SEC’s more surprising results this past weekend came in Fayetteville where previous No. 1 Texas fell in all three games at Arkansas to be swept, a series in which the Longhorns were outscored a combined 28-9.
