What are draft analysts saying in their scouting reports about Jacksonville Jaguars fourth-round pick, Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser?

Kiser is a good athlete with 4.62 speed and good change of direction ability. During his time at Notre Dame, he proved over and over to be a reliable tackler and was very good against the run, according to PFF’s metrics. He was also a productive blitzer.

ESPN’s Field Yates would mention Kiser’s ability to process what he sees on the fly and react to it as one of his better attributes.

In coverage this past season, Kiser allowed a completion rate of 67% and 10.2 yards per catch with one pass breakup.

His greatest impact right away anyways, most likely comes on special teams, where he played nearly 1,000 snaps during his Notre Dame career.

Lance Zierlein: “Sixth-year senior with good football intelligence and immediate four-phase special teams value. Kiser will be a 25-year-old rookie in September, with average physical attributes, but he’s productive and consistent. He understands his limitations and works around them with instincts and positioning, but a lack of speed and length will create smaller margins for error as a pro. He struggles to take on and get off blocks, so he’ll have to take a few more chances moving forward. Kiser’s ability to play on third down and special teams boosts his chances of becoming a backup inside linebacker.”

33rd Team

Kyle Crabbs: “Kiser should be considered a depth linebacker and core special teams talent at the NFL level. He’s got good reactive quickness and movement skills in space, as well as the tackling technique and discipline to win in open-field situations. In the right environment, he could potentially be a gem starter down the line, but he’ll need significant protection from a stout front to keep him clean.”
