The 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the history books — and with it brought National Champion Ohio State QB Will Howard to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, as many are well aware, it does little to solve the short-term necessity at QB in 2025 — but according to insider Ian Rapoport, Falcons QB Kirk Cousins could be the starting Black and Gold signal-caller, pending a very big “if.”

The “if” in question is whether or not Aaron Rodgers signs with the Steelers — and Rapoport explained on The Pat McAfee Show what it could mean for Cousins:

“If [Cousins] leaves Atlanta, where might he go? If your good friend, Aaron Rodgers, does not go to Pittsburgh, I think that would be a possibility. But it feels to me, like the other possibilities, kind of, don’t exist.”

Being traded to the Steel City may be Cousins’ only shot to start in 2025, as other teams have decided on a direction at QB at this point.

However, it seems like all signs are pointing to a Rodgers signing in Pittsburgh, as even Rapoport alluded to.
