The NFL draft is here, as Baltimore and 31 other teams complete their final big boards ahead of Thursday night’s first round.
The Ravens are loaded on the offensive side of the football, with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry leading the charge. GM Eric DeCosta could look to restock the defense with 11 picks on the night, which is among the league’s highest totals. With draft night quickly approaching, we’re looking at the biggest questions at each offensive position group.
QB
Lamar Jackson is due for a new contract, and the Ravens signed quarterback Cooper Rush as the backup quarterback, while Josh Johnson signed with Washington. The only question centers around whether Baltimore will look to improve over last year’s late-round pick, Devin Leary.
RB
Baltimore has four running backs on the roster: Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Rasheen Ali, and Keaton Mitchell. Henry is looking for a new deal, while Hill is in the final year of his contract. Could the Ravens look to add another running back to the roster?
WR
Zay Flowers is a Pro Bowler, Rashod Bateman had his best season in 2024, and DeAndre Hopkins was added to give some reliability to the position. The Ravens have Tylan Wallace and drafted Devontez Walker last spring. With holes on special teams, could Eric DeCosta look to add more depth at the position?
TE
Mark Andrews will eventually enter the Ravens Ring of Honor and has an excellent shot at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Still, his time with the organization will ultimately end, and there’s no guarantee he’ll spend 2025 with the franchise. The franchise took steps to ensure his place on the roster, picking up and paying out a $4 million option bonus. GM Eric DeCosta sounded uncertain about Andrews’s future in Baltimore during his predraft media session on Tuesday, even after paying out the bonus.
OL
Ronnie Stanley re-signed on a two-year deal, providing primary stability at the left tackle spot. Tyler Linderbaum is seeking a new contract, Daniel Faalele is ever improving, and Roger Rosengarten is one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL. Baltimore re-signed Ben Cleveland, and Andrew Vorhees looks prepared to replace Patrick Mekari at left guard. Baltimore’s outlook on the interior offensive line prospects in the draft is the biggest question.
