The 2025 NFL Draft is the perfect time for teams to find starters, depth pieces and diamonds in the rough.

No team has found success at adding talent in those three areas in recent years than the Los Angeles Rams. While they haven’t had many first-rounders in recent years, the Rams added Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse in 2024 and added a plethora of other defensive starters in various rounds. L.A. also found their starting outside receiver in Puka Nacua and running back in Kyren Williams in later rounds.

The Rams have eight picks in 2025, but four of them are in the sixth round. While trades are possible, the Rams could trust their scouting department to find contributors on all three days of the draft at various positions of need.

Pro Football Network’s Jacob Infante went through all seven rounds of the draft and made eight picks for the Rams with no trades. Infante added at various positions of need, but keyed in some of the top offensive Oregon players to bring down the Pacific Highway from Eugene to L.A.

Here’s how the Rams’ picks went:

  • Round 1, Pick No. 26: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
  • Round 3, Pick No. 90: Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon
  • Round 3, Pick No. 101: Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon
  • Round 4, Pick No. 127: Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
  • Round 6, Pick No. 190: Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon
  • Round 6, Pick No. 195: Fadil Diggs, EDGE, Syracuse
  • Round 6, Pick No. 201: Kai Kroeger, P, South Carolina
  • Round 6, Pick No. 202: Connor Colby, OG, Iowa

There are a few familiar names on this list throughout the mock draft.

Campbell has been a mainstay at No. 26 considering the Rams’ glaring need for a playmaker at inside linebacker, but that position is a tough pill to swallow with a late-first rounder.

Going back-to-back on Oregon skill players in Ferguson and Johnson is intriguing consider Ferguson could replace Tyler Higbee, but Johnson is undersized and would need to fight his way up the depth chart. Adding their college quarterback in Gabriel, though, could help them develop quicker in practice.

As for the rest of the picks, Burke and Diggs are low-risk depth pieces, while Colby is a late-round dart throw and Kroeger gives the Rams another punter to evaluate this season.

The Rams need depth more than anything in 2025. This draft accomplishes that mentality.
