With draft season nearly over, now is the time to look at some wild hypothetical situations.

FOX Sports’ Dan Helman and Henry McKenna decided to build a two-round draft where NFL team resets its roster and can select from the entire pool of current NFL and draft-eligible players. Teams maintained their original positions in a snake-draft format, though, meaning the second round starts with the team that picked No. 32.

In this scenario, that means the Los Angeles Rams have the Nos. 26 and 39 selections. Which means while some of the best players in the league will likely be gone by the time the Rams make their picks, L.A. can still grab some stars — and potentially keep some of their own.

While they only took non-Rams player in FOX Sports’ draft, three other Rams players were drafted by other teams.

Here how the draft shook out for the Rams franchise and the current Rams players.

Pick No. 26: QB Trevor Lawrence

The Rams make sure to grab one of the true franchise quarterbacks left on the board in Lawrence. While he hasn’t been tremendous, Lawrence is still a quarterback a team can build around.

Pick No. 39: CB Derek Stingley Jr.

The Rams had a shot to take one of their current core players like Puka Nacua or Jared Verse (who went soon after Stingley) but instead go for the lockdown cornerback. Stingley is at least the third-best cornerback in the league and is a true shutdown defensive back that can stymie opposing quarterbacks.

Puka Nacua, Jared Verse and Matthew Stafford all get drafted

Rams stars were taken in this mock draft, but not until the second round.

Nacua stayed in the L.A. but went to the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 43. The Seattle Seahawks took Jared Verse with the No. 47 pick. Matthew Stafford, despite being 37 in 2025, falls to the Cincinnati Bengals with pick No. 48.

Those selections make sense. Nacua is already a top-10 receiver as he heads into Year 3, while Verse just won Defensive Rookie of the Year as an ascendent pass rusher. Both are under the age of 25, too. Stafford is a bit older but is still a rockstar quarterback who and immediately turn a team into a playoff contender.

OK. That was fun. Back to real draft stuff.
