The Cleveland Browns didn’t do Kenny Pickett any favors with the workout photo they posted Wednesday, unintentionally reigniting jokes about his much-discussed hand size.

Pickett is in Cleveland for offseason workouts as the Browns’ quarterback competition revs up. The team shared photos of Pickett and 40-year-old Joe Flacco side by side getting in reps, highlighting a noticeable difference in their grip on the football.

“How many of y’all thought this was a meme of the Kenny Pickett hands?” one fan said.

“Omg. Small child has the same size hands as Kenny Pickett,” another added.

Pickett’s hand size became a notable topic during the 2022 NFL Draft process. At the NFL Scouting Combine, his hands measured 8.5 inches, which was the smallest among quarterbacks in the league at that time. The measurement raised concerns about ball security and grip. Though it hasn’t caused major issues in his NFL career, it continues to draw attention.

“Oh my god. I thought the Kenny Pickett small hands thing was mostly trolling but compare these two pics,” a fan said.

Another said, “How did Pickett get drafted with them baby hands.”

Pickett is battling Flacco and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders for the starting quarterback job in Cleveland. The Browns have made it clear that all four signal-callers will be given a shot to win the job.

The Browns trade for Pickett in March, sending back quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.
