Lions star EDGE Aidan Hutchinson has been vigorously working towards his return following a broken leg in Week 6 that cost him the rest of the season. With the progress he has been making, Hutchinson is expected to be 100 percent by Week 1.

If Hutchinson is back, he should waste little to no time getting back to the defensive force he was last season when he was posting 7.5 sacks in five games and change. If that’s the case, he’ll be a hot commodity not only on the field for the Lions, but for fantasy owners that play with individual defensive players.

In fact, his fantasy outlook is already about as high as you can get. Pro Football Focus released their top 300 fantasy rankings for IDP dynasty. Right at the very top of the list, Hutchinson himself.

Between his play on the field and not even being 25 years old, Hutchinson is an easy argument for being the No. 1 defensive player in dynasty leagues.

“Hutchinson was already delivering elite underlying metrics in 2023 to help provide confidence that 2024 was no fluke, and he was well on pace to comfortably win the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. Since entering the league in 2022, Hutchinson owns a 92.3 PFF pass-rush grade, a 19.9% pass-rush win rate and a 15.8% pressure rate — all of which are top-10 marks across all positions (minimum of 500 pass-rush snaps) over that span.”
