On Sunday, all 13 teams across the league started their 2025 season with the same thing ― training camp. For Bueckers, that meant getting on the court with her fellow rookies and new teammates, including veterans Arike Ogunbowale and DiJonai Carrington.

As you might suspect, the buckets were flying throughout the day, the passes were zipping and the feet were moving. Post-session, Bueckers reflected on her first practice and revealed one major (and hysterically honest) difference between the WNBA and college.
“Honestly, [the] screens I got hit by,” Bueckers said, smiling. “That would be the first ‘Wow, this is different'”
