On Monday morning, Dallas Wings veteran guard DiJonai Carrington shared a lighthearted moment on Instagram, posting a story of several rookie teammates receiving early-morning treatment on the second day of the Dallas Wings’ training camp.
“All five. Bright and early!” Carrington says, panning her phone around the treatment room to capture the scene. “Getting some treatment, doing their due diligence.”
Among the rookies is none other than 2025 No. 1 pick Paige Bueckers, who is caught on camera blushing, giggling and shyly nodding as Carrington films.
Carrington, 27, captioned the story proudly: “all the rookies getting treatment earlyyyyy! So proud!!” A great show of dedication from the young players.

The end of the Instagram story shows Carrington jokingly calling out rookie JJ Quinerly for sneaking out of the video.
Besides Bueckers and Quinerly, the Wings training camp rookies this year include Joyner Holmes, who played for the Seattle Storm last season; Madison Scott from Ole Miss; Aaronette Vonleh from Baylor; Aziaha James from NC State, German basketball player Luisa Geiselsöder, Japanese basketball player Mai Yamamoto and former Los Angeles Sparks shooting guard McKenzie Forbes.
Carrington and Bueckers already seem to have a close friendship, as seen on X. On the Dallas Wings account yesterday, Bueckers tweeted “DiJonai cant guard me”, while Carrington clapped back a minute after with a post that simply said “#GetPaigeSomeSunlight.”
