The 2025 NFL draft is less than two weeks away, and mock drafts are coming in hot and heavy. A new four-round Washington-only mock draft would be exciting for fans, as the Commanders land immediate help at three positions of need, including a “dream” pick in the first round.

So, here we go. Sportsocracy’s Jeremy Greene is perhaps an unknown among many in the fan base. However, he is worth a listen. I also guarantee you he does as much and more preparation than many of the much bigger names you watch on television.

If you wish to watch Greene’s mock for Washington, here is the link:

  • 29 (Rd 1) Edge, Jalon Walker (Georgia): “Look, I don’t love this kid. He is a little undersized. He doesn’t really have a position, but Dan Quinn has had some success with Micah Parsons, a guy I have some of the same qualms about. Walker is not an off-ball linebacker. If that’s what you’re drafting him to be, then he is a third-round pick. Where he is really weak is the run…I think he would be an absolute bulldog in that (Commanders) defense, giving Washington a pass rushing presence they have not had.”
  • 61 (Rd 2) Slot Receiver, Jayden Higgins (Iowa State): “Higgins can come in right away. I think you can teach him over time how to play the X (receiver), the Z role. He’s a big kid (6-4, 215). I think he can be an absolute stud. Went to the Combine and showed all the things he can do. I don’t know that he is a refined product…this gives you some padding with Deebo Samuel and Luke McCaffrey also good in the slot. Noah Brown has had some injuries. This gives you a kid who can play multiple positions, even if he is a more refined slot receiver right now. It gives you a big target to grow with Jayden Daniels over time. This kid should not be here at 61 (he was using the PFF draft simulator). “
  • 128 (Rd 4) CB, Zy Alexander (LSU): “Kid started out at SE Louisiana. He was a really good baseball player. He was a 0-star coming out… he is just a ball hawk…13 interceptions across his career. I think he is a nice developmental piece. He is a little thin (6-2, 194)…the biggest knock I have on him is he is not a great tackler right now. But getting him here in the 4th round is great value because he is very sticky in coverage, very good in the read and react…he is not a lock-down corner. You are not going to get that at this point in the draft.”

What grades did Pro Football Focus give Greene on his Commanders 4-round mock draft?

Jalon Walker (B) Jayden Higgins (A) Zy Alexander (B)

Overall grade: B+
