Team USA stars Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey are among those competing for individual NCAA championships in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday as the 2025 gymnastics championships get underway.

Chiles and Carey, who were part of the U.S. team that won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, headline a crowded field that also includes 2021 silver medalist Grace McCallum (Utah) and U.S. alternates Leanne Wong (Florida) and Joscelyn Roberson. Carey, who competes for Oregon State, is favored to win the individual all-around title, while UCLA’s Chiles will look to build on the two NCAA championships she won in 2023 on uneven bars and floor exercise.

In addition to deciding the individual champions, Thursday’s sessions also mark the semifinals of the team event, which will send four schools to Saturday’s final. Reigning champion LSU is a solid bet to make it to Saturday, as is Oklahoma, which has won five of the past eight national championships.
