Tuesday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder went off the rails for the Lakers once Luka Doncic was hit with a second technical foul and was ejected with 7:40 to go in the fourth quarter.
At that point, the Lakers led 108-107, and shortly afterward, Oklahoma City scored eight unanswered points and went on a 24-4 run, leading to a 136-120 loss for them. Doncic’s ejection looked very questionable — he was hit with that second technical foul for talking trash, but a replay clearly shows that he directed that trash talk to the crowd and not an opposing player or referee.
However, Tony Brothers, one of the officials who worked this game, claimed that Doncic “looked directly at an official and used vulgar language.”
Fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) didn’t exactly agree with Brothers.

The ref who he supposedly directed the language at was looking in the opposite direction and then called the tech lol. The replay showed it clearly.
