Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx came just short of winning the franchise’s first WNBA title since 2017, falling to the New York Liberty in a hard-fought five-game series in the 2024 WNBA Finals.
Now, with training camp set to open on April 27, the Lynx are turning the page and looking to flip the script this time around. They’ll tip off the 2025 WNBA regular season on May 16 against the Dallas Wings.
Meanwhile, Collier was in New York City on Thursday night at the 2025 TIME 100 Gala. Several high-profile celebrities were in attendance, including Liberty star Breanna Stewart.
On Friday, Collier showed off her outfit in a series of photos that she shared on social media.
The comment section quickly filled up, and one of the messages came from Collier’s husband, Alex Bazzell.
Bazzell — a former Lindenwood University player and now President of Unrivaled, the new three-on-three league launched by Collier and Stewart — was left speechless, replying with nothing but three of the same emoji.
“❤️❤️❤️,” Bazzell wrote for fans to see.
Collier and Bazzell first met when the Lynx star was still in high school. Both passionate about basketball, Bazzell, who trained athletes, began working with her when she first got to UConn.
Their relationship eventually turned romantic, and the couple got engaged in 2019 during Collier’s junior season at UConn. They tied the knot in October 2022 in St. Louis, just a few months after welcoming their first child, a daughter named Mila, in May.
