Aaron Donald may no longer be playing in the NFL but he remains close to both the Los Angeles Rams and his former defensive line coach, Eric Henderson. Donald has visited Rams practices and attended games since retiring and on Monday, he checked in on Henderson’s group at USC.
Donald shared a video on Instagram of himself attending a Trojans spring practice at the Coliseum where he gave some of the players coaching points. Being the future Hall of Famer that he is, any tips Donald gives out are worth listening to – something his teammates learned for years in Los Angeles.
Donald looks like he could still go for 10 sacks a year in the NFL but he also might have a future in coaching.
Henderson was the Rams’ defensive line coach from 2019-2023, so he spent five years with Donald. He left the Rams to become USC’s co-defensive coordinator and D-line coach in 2024, a position he still holds with the Trojans today.
He coined the phrase “dawgwork” with the Rams and has brought that mentality to USC with him. Donald is still rocking a sweatshirt that preaches that mantra, which shows how strong his connection with Henderson is.
