The Detroit Lions have two picks scheduled Friday on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. They own the No. 60 overall pick late in Round 2 and the No. 102 overall pick to end Round 3.
Who might the Lions pick and what are their needs? We looked at 16 prospects who we think would interest general manager Brad Holmes and the Lions. And we all know that starts with a defensive end.
But here’s a few Day 2 mock draft predictions from draftniks.
ANALYSIS: Lions Round 2 and Round 3 fits: 16 players to watch in 2025 draft
USA TODAY Sports, Pick 60: OT Cameron Williams, Texas
The buzz: Williams is just 21 years old, seen as a talented yet raw prospect, writes USA TODAY’s Ayrton Ostly.
“The Texas tackle has a high ceiling thanks to his athletic gifts but needs time to develop. He could be a long-term starter at tackle or guard.”
Pick 102: WR Jaylin Lane, Virginia Tech
The Lions need youth and depth at receiver, so it makes sense they are looking at help here. Lane is smaller at 5 feet 10 and 196 pounds. He caught 38 passes for 466 yards and two touchdowns last season in 12 games. He spent 2020-22 at Middle Tennessee, before playing two years with the Hokies.
ESPN, Pick 60: DE JT Tuimoloau, Ohio State
The buzz: The Lions still need pass rush help on the edge, so ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller pegs the team to go back to Ohio State for another defensive lineman.
“The three-year starter has prototypical size (6-foot-4, 265 pounds) and has tape against first-round offensive tackles that make you believe he has the skills to become a quality starter.”
