Since landing with the Golden State Warriors at the NBA trade deadline, Jimmy Butler has seamlessly fit in with his new set of teammates in the Bay Area. Butler has quickly built chemistry on the court with players like Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski that has resulted in the Warriors securing the No. 7 seed in the postseason.

Along with chemistry on the court, Butler has built a funny back-and-forth off the court with new teammate Buddy Hield. After multiple games throughout the regular season, Butler and Hield joked with each other, calling one another out in some fashion with different banter. Following Butler’s first triple-double with the Warriors in March against the Portland Trail Blazers, Hield called the triple-double “fake.”

Following Golden State’s Game 1 win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday, Butler took a shot at his sharpshooting teammate. At the end of his postgame press conference in Houston, Butler took a moment to call out Hield’s dribbling skills. It’s safe to say, Butler isn’t a fan of Hield dribbling the basketball.

And Buddy — stop trying to dribble the ball. I hate that.

In 15 minutes off the bench in Game 1, Hield recorded two points on 1-of-4 shooting with a rebound and a steal in Golden State’s 95-85 win. Despite Butler’s criticism, Hield didn’t notch a turnover on Sunday.

Hield and Butler will have the chance to continue their friendly rivalry on Wednesday when the Warriors meet the Rockets for Game 2 in Houston.
