Inter Milan consolidated their place in the UEFA rankings with their big Champions League win over Bayern Munich.

Italian outlet FCInter1908 highlight how the Nerazzurri have remained in the same spot, but improved their coefficient to consolidate their place.

Inter Milan got a massive win on Tuesday. They beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the first leg of a Champions League quarterfinal tie.

By now, big results in Europe are something Inter are used to. They made it all the way to the Champions League final in the 2022-23 season.

And the Nerazzurri have seen their UEFA coefficient go up over the last few years.

Inter sit sixth in the UEFA rankings. They are just behind Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, for this season Inter are second. They are behind only Barcelona.

Inter Milan’s win over Bayern was not quite enough to actually improve their place in the rankings.

Paris Saint-Germain are still narrowly ahead of the Nerazzurri. They got a win of their own this week, beating Aston Villa 3-1.

Meanwhile, for the season, Barcelona’s win over Borussia Dortmund ensured that they remain top of the pile.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are still top of the overall rankings – even with their 3-0 loss away to Arsenal this week.

And Bayern remain ahead of Inter Milan despite the head-to-head loss on Tuesday.
