In their Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors finished the contest without one of their core pieces. After a hard fall caused by contact with Amen Thompson while going for a rebound, Jimmy Butler exited the game and entered the locker room. Butler was later ruled out for the remainder of the game with a pelvis contusion.
After returning to the Bay Area, Butler underwent an MRI on Thursday. Following his MRI, the Warriors provided an injury update for Butler, including his status for Game 3 in San Francisco on Saturday.
According to the Warriors, Butler’s MRI confirmed he suffered a pelvis and deep gluteal muscle contusion. Butler is questionable for Saturday’s Game 3 against the Rockets.
