Michigan football will be holding its annual spring game on Saturday, but unless you’re at the stadium, it’ll be a while before you get to see it.
As previously announced, there will be no live broadcast of Michigan’s annual Maize vs. Blue spring game kicking off at noon, but the game is set to air on tape delay on Sunday, April 27 at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network. Those who wish to watch the game live can attend the game for free at Michigan Stadium.
There’s a strategic reason for the Wolverines to wait to broadcast their spring game, and it has to do with the spring transfer window ending on April 25. Since Michigan’s coaching staff doesn’t want other schools poaching the program’s best players, Michigan is waiting for the transfer window to close before broadcasting their spring game.

Other programs like Texas, USC, Florida State and Michigan State have outright cancelled their spring games this season, though all for different reasons.
