It took less than 40 minutes Oologah to turn a soccer match into a statement win Monday.
The Lady Mustangs exploded for 15 goals in the first half — with nine different players finding the back of the net — en route to a 15-0 mercy-rule shutout over Tulsa Central.
The offensive onslaught continued to showcase why the defending Class 4A state champions remain unbeaten at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in district play.
Layney Molini, Kalley Hogue, Allie Charloe, Tatum Reynolds, Parker Barbee and Mackenzie Kubien each netted two goals, while Kailee Seaba, Avery Duff and Millie Smalyago also got in on the scoring fun with one goal apiece.
Charloe dished out four assists, Kubien added three and additional assists came from Molini, Reynolds, Brynlee Sweet, Maddie Penner and Sarah Timm.
Goalkeepers Sam Sappington and Seaba combined for the clean sheet in goal, keeping the Lady Braves off the scoreboard and sealing the mercy-rule victory before the second half.
With the win, the Lady Mustangs now turn their focus to the Southern Coast Cup in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
They’ll face Hazel Green (Alabama) at 6 p.m. Thursday, Westbrook Christian (Alabama) at 5 p.m. Friday and Darlington (Alabama) at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in a three-game showcase of top talent from across the region.
