The Georgia Bulldogs acquired a ton of players via the transfer portal and recruiting this offseason. In total, the Bulldogs brought in 38 new players. Some of it’s to replace the massive amount of Georgia Bulldogs that entered the 2025 NFL draft. Regardless, Georgia earned the No. 2 recruiting class and the No. 42 transfer class in the country.
However, USC transfer Zachariah Branch could be the biggest X-factor of the team. This is according to CBS Sports’ Chip Patterson on an article covering which team could have the most talent in the 2026 NFL draft.
“One X-factor is the arrival of USC transfer Zachariah Branch,” said Patterson. “He was one of the best freshmen in the country in 2023 and could provide an offensive spark that boosts his first-round draft stock.”
Branch is as much of a wild card as anyone on Georgia’s roster. While Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas has a proven track record of production, Branch is a former five-star recruit that still has to refine his receiving skills. He shows flashes of immense talent, but he failed to put it all together consistently last year with the USC Trojans. However, if Georgia can develop his skillset into the game breaker he could be, it would go a long way in diversifying the Bulldog offense.
