The Brooklyn Nets are in the early stages of their offseason as they are no doubt thinking about the moves they will be making this summer, especially in the 2025 NBA Draft. While Brooklyn is enjoying the downtime right now, the 2025 NBA playoffs are happening and former Nets guard James Harden is doing what he can to get the Los Angeles Clippers to the Western Conference Semi-finals.
On Thursday, Harden did what was asked of him to help the Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets117-83 in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series as he dropped 20 points, six rebounds, and nine assists in 34 minutes of playing time. In a game that turned into a demolition job as Los Angeles led by as many as 34 points in the contest after blowing the game open in the second quarter.
Harden was part of a balanced scoring effort for the Clippers as five other players scored in double figures, led by Kawhi Leonard’s 21 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in 35 minutes on the floor. After stunning Harden and the Clippers in Game 1, Los Angeles has won the past two games of the series and Game 3 looks like the kind of game where Denver could be knocked out of the postseason in short order if they don’t respond accordingly.
With this being a matchup between the fourth-seeded Nuggets and the fifth-seeded Clippers, this series was seen to be one of the closest matchups in the first-round of the playoffs so Game 3 had to be a shock to the many NBA fans that saw this series needing seven games to determine a winner. Game 4 will be on Saturday in Los Angeles so Harden and the Clippers will have a chance to go ahead in the series 3-1 if they play their game right.
