A former big-time Spartans recruit is once again hitting the transfer portal.
Former high-four-star edge rusher Bai Jobe is hitting the transfer portal for a second straight year. Jobe left Michigan State last April via the transfer portal and ended up at Kansas, where he played one season with the Jayhawks.
Jobe played in one game as a freshman with the Spartans in 2023, recording only two tackles. This past season with Kansas, Jobe had an enhanced role but still wasn’t a big-time contributor for the Jayhawks. He recorded nine tackles across seven games.
Jobe was a near five-star prospect in the 2022 class. He ranked as the No. 7 edge rusher nationally and No. 55 overall prospect in the class. He was one of the highest-rated Michigan State commitments of the modern era and a crown jewel get for former head coach Mel Tucker.
