Even though the Los Angeles Rams landed Davante Adams in free agency and brought back Tutu Atwell on a $10 million deal, wide receiver is a position they could still address early in the draft. It’s a long-term need and this draft class is littered with talented prospects who could contribute for years to come.

One player who would make a lot of sense for the Rams is TCU wideout Jack Bech. He’s drawn comparisons to Cooper Kupp for his route running, willingness to block and craftiness after the catch, so it’s reasonable to think the Rams might be interested.

ESPN analyst Jordan Reid loves the fit for Bech in Los Angeles, saying he’s exactly what the Rams look for in a wide receiver.

“He is exactly their type,” Reid said. “He’s a great run-after-catch guy, he can go up and climb the ladder and be really good. I think he’s aced the pre-draft process. He was awesome at the Senior Bowl. I think he was the best receiver there, in my opinion. The most consistent one there. He blocks his tail off in the run game. He just has a lot of qualities that they’ve looked for from some of these third, fourth, fifth-round receivers that they have drafted in years past. Jack Bech to the Rams is one I’m going to continue to slot him at in every single mock draft.

“I think it’s such a perfect fit. He’s so Rams-coded. He checks every single box that they’ve looked for in years past. … I would be shocked if he’s not very high on their board.”

Bech stood out at the Senior Bowl with an outstanding performance, earning MVP honors in the game for his go-ahead touchdown catch as time expired. He turned some heads during the week of practice, too, showing off his route running and strong hands consistently.

He’s 6-foot-1 and 214 pounds, so he’s an inch shorter than Cooper Kupp, but he can play inside or outside and is physical at the catch point, so the comparisons make a lot of sense.
