It’s been a fantastic offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles and their star players. Quarterback Jalen Hurts announced his engagement and marriage to his college sweetheart last month.
Now it’s wide receiver A.J. Brown’s turn.
Brown announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Kelsey over the weekend. The All-Pro wide receiver had many teammates, both present and former, in attendance to help him share in the celebration.
Congrats to AJ Brown on his engagement to his now fiancée Kelsey!
I think this photo from the engagement party shows the positive impact AJ has in the locker room as a leader

There’s just one slight issue. Of the people all seen in that photo, Hurts is notably absent.
Now, this could mean absolutely nothing. Hurts could very well be on his honeymoon with his now wife, leading into mandatory OTAs at this point. He could have had a prior engagement that kept him away from Brown’s celebration.
But to the gossip-mongers, anyway, it does add a new wrinkle to the once blossoming friendship between the Eagles’ stars. When Philadelphia acquired Brown, they brought Hurts, one of his best friends from college, to help the signal-caller improve. That’s precisely what happened.
But as the years have gone on, the relationship between Hurts and Brown has splintered off in some ways. Rumors have run rampant about the reason for it, but both are now going to be married men.
They also happen to be Super Bowl champions together.
So whether Hurts was never in attendance for Brown’s celebration or not, the Eagles will have another controversy to go over heading into OTAs and workouts.
Because, of course they do.
