This week, two Shasta High School student-athletes are being highlighted. It’s time to meet the two Shasta Family YMCA Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments over the last few weeks.
Nic Wilkes
Sport: Track
School: Shasta
Class: Senior
Team contributions: Nic Wilkes leads CIF Northern Division I in the 200-meter with a time of 22.25 and sits in second place in the 100-meter with a time of 10.83, both recorded at the Chico Track and Field Invitational April 12. He also competes on the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.
Jaiden Lynn
Sport: Track
School: Shasta
Class: Senior
Team contributions: Jaiden Lynn leads CIF Northern Division I in the 100-meter with a time of 12.64 when she competed at the Eagle Classic Relays on March 28. She also sits at the top of the leader board in the high jump (5′ 7.25″) and long jump (19′ 4″).
