The Dallas Cowboys are fresh off of the 2025 NFL draft, but Jerry Jones and company are not taking a break.
On Wednesday, the team decided to waive four players. As they prepare for training and preseason to arrive, the Cowboys are working hard to put the most talented roster together that they can.
As for the four players who were waived, the Dallas PR account on X shared that offensive lineman Jack Anderson, running back Malik Davis, linebacker Brock Mogensen, and offensive lineman Earl Bostick are being released from the team.
None of those four players are any kind of surprise, but it’s bad news for them nonetheless.
The @dallascowboys waived the following players on Wednesday:
OL Jack Anderson
RB Malik Davis
LB Brock Mogensen
OL Earl Bostick— Dallas Cowboys Public Relations (@DallasCowboysPR) April 30, 2025
Anderson was drafted in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. He’s 26 years old.
Davis played in 12 games for the Cowboys during the 2022 season, carrying the football 38 times for 161 yards and a touchdown. He also caught six passes for 63 yards. Last season, he didn’t play but was still on the roster.
Neither Bostick or Mogensen was expected to have a role during the 2025 season.
Jones and company are looking to get back to being a playoff contender. During the 2024 NFL season, Dallas finished with a 7-10 record and missed the postseason. That hasn’t sat well with the Cowboys.
A healthy Dak Prescott, a new head coach in Brian Schottenheimer, some new talent across the roster, and a new year will hopefully have better fortune in store for Dallas. For now, the Cowboys will continue working on tinkering with their roster.
