FRISCO – We have written in detail about how the Pittsburgh Steelers might end up divorcing George Pickens.
We have also written in detail how there are puzzle pieces that fit in a way that merits examination of a Dallas Cowboys-involved trade.
The second part of that? It’s a long shot. We shall see.
The first part of that? Pickens just sent a “shot” of his own.
Pittsburgh recently traded a second-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for receiver DK Metcalf. To some, that meant DK plus Pickens as a fantastic duo.
To others, it meant George wouldn’t be long for Pittsburgh.
And what does George think?
Pickens just took to Instagram and unfollowed the Steelers.
Is this indicative of a major move? Not necessarily.
Is this indicative of this being an emotional time for Pickens? So it would seem. … as among other things we’re sure he’d like to be working under a rich new contract extension.
Pickens’ maturity has been a point of consternation for the Pittsburgh faithful, and there are some who would like to move on.
But this is the first indication that Pickens is the one who is so frustrated that he might want to initiate a trade move.
That doesn’t have to involve Dallas. But right now, it doesn’t seem like Pickens wants to be involved with Pittsburgh, either.
