The Denver Broncos are moving quickly towards the 2025 NFL season, and that begins with rookie minicamp, which will take place this week. Joining the 2025 draft class from the Broncos will be several tryout players, one of whom is an extremely experienced collegiate running back.
Old Dominion running back Aaron Young is one of the most experienced collegiate players left from before the days of COVID-19. Jones played for Rutgers from 2019-2023 before finishing his career with the Monarchs in 2024, playing in 58 games in college, almost as many as Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (61 career college games).
Young totaled 1,476 yards on 333 rushing attempts and 15 touchdowns. Young also flourished in the passing game, catching 63 passes for 411 yards and four touchdowns throughout college.
The Broncos have made running back a priority position of need after choosing not to renew the contract of Javonte Williams, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys in the 2025 offseason. The Broncos have had at least one undrafted free agent make the 53-man roster in 20 of the last 21 seasons, so there may be a chance that Young makes the roster. Check out his highlights below.
