The selection of Emeka Egbuka has certainly gotten people talking in recent days. One person with a loud, prominent voice is a Bucs legend in Ronde Barber.

Barber was speaking on his new weekly show streaming across WFLA-TV platforms. WFLA is the Buccaneers‘ official broadcast partner in 2025, and the partnership is already providing very fruitful comments and content. On the topic of the Bucs’ top draft pick, Barber made a bold claim regarding the team’s wide receiver room.

“The tea leaves in this pick [of receiver Emeka Ebuka in Round 1] tell you a couple of things,” Barber said. “No. 1, Mike Evans, No. 2, Chris Godwin, No. 3 [Jalen] McMillan; those three players are the top three wide receivers in Tampa right now. They believe something is up with one of them. So read the tea leaves in there.”

Coulod Barber be onto something? He went on to explain that the direction of this wide receiver room is yet to be determined but he is right, this group is one to watch as the season unfolds.
