We’re now nine days away from the Titans being on the clock in Round 1 of the 2025 NFL draft from Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Super Bowl champion Eagles have the final pick in the first round, and could draft for depth with few holes on a loaded roster.

ESPN’s Field Yates and the legendary Mel Kiper teamed up for the release of a three-mock draft, and they have Philadelphia reloading at linebacker, safety, and defensive tackle with a stud from the SEC, and two standout performers from the Big 10.

Eagles pick at No. 32: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama.

The 6’3″, 235-pounder Campbell has sideline-to-sideline speed and impressive coverage skills while flourishing as a quality pass rusher—he registered five sacks in 2024. Campbell was selected as a second-team All-American by the FWAA, and he also garnered second-team honors from USA Today and The Athletic. Campbell earned first-team All-SEC recognition from the conference coaches and second-team accolades from the Associated Press totaled 117 tackles, good for eighth in Alabama’s single-season history led UA, and ranked fifth in the SEC for total tackles, including a team-high 11.5 for loss (-55 yards) and five sacks (-39 yards) added one interception and a fumble recovery to go with two forced fumbles, a pair of pass breakups and two quarterback hurries named a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award which recognizes the top defender in college football.

Analysis from Field Yates:

It hurts me to see Campbell have to wait this long; he’s the final prospect on the board who ranks in my top 25. But Combining Campbell with Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean at the second level would make defensive coordinator Vic Fangio smile. Campbell does it all. He finished last season with 112 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and an interception. This Super Bowl-winning defense saw a lot of turnover earlier in the offseason, but Campbell has the toolbox to contribute in multiple ways. recent left shoulder surgery, his health outlook for the start of his career is less clear. But this would be a classic example of the Eagles pouncing on a talented player who fell due to circumstance. Philly struck gold with a no-risk signing of Zack Baun last offseason, and the idea of a linebacker trio eventually composed of Baun, Nakobe Dean (knee) and Campbell is exciting. Campbell had 112 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and an interception last season.

Eagles pick at No. 64: Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State

Winston Jr., who missed most of the 2024 college football season with an injury, bypassed his final year of eligibility and entered the 2025 NFL Draft. Just days after being named the Big Ten defensive player of the week for his 12-tackle performance at West Virginia, Winston sustained a partially torn ACL. Winston attempted to play in Penn State’s home opener against Bowling Green on Sept. 7 but managed just 15 snaps and left the game in the first half. He later had surgery and missed the remainder of the season. In 2023, he was an honorable mention all-Big Ten in 2023 after leading the team in tackles (60), recovering two fumbles, breaking up five passes, and intercepting one pass. Winston (6-2, 205 pounds) entered this season as one of the team’s top-ranked NFL Draft prospects, ranking as a first-round pick among some draft scouts, and he could give Philadelphia size and versatility at the position.

Analysis from Mel Kiper:

I closed my two-round mock draft last week with Winston to the Eagles. I’m doing it again today. Winston missed almost the entire 2024 season because of a knee injury, but he could absolutely help Philly’s safety group.

Indiana's CJ West (8) sacks Maryland's Billy Edwards Jr. (9) during the Indiana versus Maryland football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024.

Eagles pick at No. 96: CJ West, DT, Indiana

Mel Kiper has the Eagles selecting a robust and compact defender from the Big 10. West spent his first four college seasons at Kent State before transferring and playing this past year at Indiana. Over the last two years, he has been one of PFF’s higher-graded interior run defenders, which is where his most significant impact came and what West was often asked to do—stop the run. In 2024, West had a career year as a pass rusher, totaling 25 pressures and a sack. Those pressure numbers won’t leap off the stat sheet, but West did rank 36th in pass rush win rate, which shows an ability to win consistently.

Analysis from Mel Kiper.

Here’s your Milton Williams replacement. West had double-digit run stops in each of his past four seasons and chipped in nine sacks over that time.
