The Cincinnati Bengals finally hit on a pick in the 2025 NFL draft that fans across the board seemed to love.
It’s not hard to see why, either. The Bengals drafting Georgia’s Dylan Fairchild in the third round presents a possible upgrade to the interior of the offensive line for Joe Burrow as soon as the summer.
While Bengals fans were getting antsy after the team drafted Shemar Stewart in the first round and linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. in the second, Fairchild’s arrival seemed to calm things dramatically.

We didn’t get the guard I loved, but we got a guard I really like.
A state championship wrestler paired with Scott Peters is a good mix.
Hard to not love that pick.

Bengals do indeed draft a Georgia Guard in the 3rd round!
Dylan Fairchild.
Feels a bit early, but Fairchild is a fine player with starter upside. He should immediately push to unseat Volson.
Bengals still need a starting RG. Brandon Scherff or Dalton Risner would help.

Notable on Dylan Fairchild from Dane Brugler. Puts him in the Wyatt Teller mold.
Who played a large role in developing Teller? New OL coach Scott Peters. pic.twitter.com/r7fXjlrdyE

Dylan Fairchild on if he’s heard from former college teammate and now NFL teammate Amarius Mims:
“Hell yeah, hell yeah. We just got off the phone. That’s my dog right there.”

Fairchild calls protecting Joe Burrow the “biggest honor of my life.”
— Mike Petraglia (@Trags) April 26, 2025
The process deserves criticized ZERO doubt. The Bengals left huge holes on the roster and are forced to address them in the draft.
But I don’t care that Fairchild was a reach via the board because he can play. With a little more strength, he can be a good starter.
