We can add yet another defensive prospect to the list of players the Arizona Cardinals have brought in for official pre-draft visits. This next name is a player who could sneak into the first round — Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander.

Alexander told The Draft Network’s Justin Melo that he had a pre-draft visit with the Cardinals and many other teams.

Alexander played five seasons for Toledo in the MAC. Over his final two seasons, he totaled 76 combined tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, an interception that he returned for a touchdown and eight tipped passes.

He is 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds with long 34-inch arms. He has great athletic traits. At the NFL combine, he ran the 40 in 4.95 seconds and posted a 31.5-inch vertical leap and 109-inch broad jump, in addition to doing 28 reps of the bench press at 225 pounds.

He could be drafted in the first round, although it would probably be a surprise if he were the selection for the Cardinals with the 16th overall pick in the draft.

He is certainly yet another player to be prepared to hear once the draft begins.
