After entering the NCAA transfer portal last week, former Alabama Crimson Tide forward Jarin Stevenson has made a decision as to where he will play college basketball next season, announcing a commitment to the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday night.
Stevenson is the second Alabama transfer to make a commitment decision so far this offseason, joining Mouhamed Dioubate who transferred to Kentucky.

Stevenson, a native of North Carolina, came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class, and has started 27-of-74 games across the past two seasons. Over that span, Stevenson has averaged a combined 5.3 points and 3 rebounds per game on 42.3% shooting from the field, as well as 31.2% from three and 63.6% at the free throw line.
This past season, Stevenson started 22-of-27 games for Alabama to average 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on 42.9% shooting from the field. Stevenson also shot 30.7% from three, as well as 59.7% at the free throw line.
Following the commitment of Stevenson to North Carolina, Alabama now awaits the transfer decisions of Derrion Reid and Naas Cunningham.
