With two days down, there’s only one day remaining in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tomorrow, we’ll run through rounds 4 through 7 and finish the biggest event on the NFL’s offseason calendar. Day two gave fans, including Vikings fans, plenty of excitement and big storylines. The biggest storyline, of course, is the fact that former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is still on the board, after being talked about as a potential first-round pick.
For the Vikings’ part, they only had one pick on the second day of the draft, but they managed to inject some excitement into the day anyway. Initially picking at 97 overall, the Vikings wound up trading that pick, along with a fifth-round pick, to move down and pick up an extra fourth-round selection. The move down gave the Vikings the last pick in the third round. Minnesota closed out the day two festivities with a bang, taking wide receiver Tai Felton out of Maryland.
Felton brings a different dynamic to the Vikings’ wide receiver corps and gives young quarterback J.J. McCarthy another weapon in the passing attack. On the other hand, the selection means the Vikings still haven’t addressed their needs at cornerback, safety, or defensive tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft. So, with that in mind, who are the best players remaining for the Vikings heading into day 3?
Joshua Farmer, Defensive Tackle, Florida State
Quincy Riley, Cornerback, Louisville
Deone Walker, Defensive Tackle, Kentucky
Billy Bowman Jr., Safety, Oklahoma
Ty Robinson, Defensive Tackle, Nebraska
