The Eagles have spent the past three years amassing elite SEC talent, but the 2025 NFL draft saw two local products join NFC East rivals.

On Thursday, the Giants selected Abdul Carter at No. 3 overall, signaling an end to his fandom. On Friday night, Donovan Ezeiruaku of Boston College told friends and family to remove the Eagles gear at his draft party after joining the Dallas Cowboys at pick No. 44 overall.

The Giants already have a solid pass rush with Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Dexter Lawrence, and Chauncey Golston. Adding Carter to that mix would make their defense formidable.

Carter had 12 sacks last season and looked unstoppable despite playing through a shoulder injury down the stretch.

Ezeiruaku is a bit undersized (6-3, 248 pounds) but uses his 34-inch arms and elite first-step speed to get around the edge and under the hands of offensive tackles. He was highly productive this past season, with 80 tackles and 16.5 sacks, the second-best mark in the FBS, and he’ll now join Micah Parsons in Dallas.
