How old were the draft classes for the 32 teams in the 2025 NFL Draft?

The six youngest draft classes are all at 22 or younger as an average age. That includes a three-way tie between the Falcons, Jets and Vikings at exactly 22 years. Notably in that top grouping, the Vikings and Cleveland Browns front offices are known for having age guardrails on their picks.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Broncos, Commanders and Chargers all have average ages of 23 or older. The Raiders and Lions round of round out the five oldest draft classes.

It might not seem like a huge range between the Dolphins (21.5 years) and the Broncos (23.14) but across just a handful of draft picks, that’s a decent spread. It’s also representative of a younger class on the whole; the average draftee in 2024 was older (23.2) than the Broncos’ average age as the oldest class in 2025 thanks to the COVID-19 extended eligibility. The 2025 class represents the last of the players who gained an extra year of eligibility from the pandemic.
