We all remember what happened during last week’s mid-week game, right? I remember LSU getting run-ruled in their own house by a non-conference team for the first time in school history. I remember the outrage on social media and seeing people comparing Jay Johnson to Ed Orgeron.
LSU would not suffer the same fate on Tuesday evening as the Tigers were on the better side of the run-rule as LSU beat Southeastern Louisiana 15-2.
Derek Curiel and Jared Jones picked up right where they left off in the Tennessee series as they started the bottom of the first inning with back-to-back homers. Josh Pearson followed that with a two-RBI single to give LSU a 4-0 lead after one inning.

A throwing error in the bottom of the second inning would score another run for the Tigers, and LSU led 5-0 as we headed to the top of the third inning. Southeastern scored a run in the top of the third and in the top of the fourth to cut the LSU lead to 5-2.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Tigers came roaring back as they scored five runs. A fielder’s choice, a two-RBI single by Danny Dickinson, and a two-RBI single by Michael Braswell III extended the Tigers’ lead to 10-2.
