The Oklahoma Sooners are turning it on at the right time. They’ve won six in a row and are coming off a sweep of the Texas Longhorns. During their six game winning streak, the Sooners are averaging seven runs a game in beating Mississippi State and Texas.

After the sweep of their Red River Rivals, the Sooners are back in the top spot of the Softball America Top 25 on Monday. Arkansas comes in at No. 2 after their series win over Texas A&M. The Tennessee Volunteers fell from No. 1 to No. 3 despite taking two of three from Ole Miss over the weekend.

Oregon comes in at No. 4 and Florida State at No. 5. The Aggies dropped from No. 2 to No. 6 while the Longhorns dropped four spots to No. 7. Florida is the only other SEC team in the top 10 entering the final weekend of the regular season.

The Sooners control their own destiny ahead of a big weekend in Gainesville, Florida. A series win will clinch their first SEC regular season title. They’re hoping to hold off the Aggies, who are two games back in the win column, and the Volunteers, who are also two games back but hold the regular season tiebreaker. Texas A&M and Tennessee face each other in Knoxville to finish the regular season.

With just one week to go, here’s a look at the latest Softball America Top 25.
