Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant had some interesting thoughts when asked to reflect on what happened during his postseason loss against the Thunder.

Memphis was swept, 4-0, by Oklahoma City in the opening round of the playoffs in the Western Conference. The series was not particularly competitive as the Thunder won the first game dominantly, 131-80. The second game was a bit closer, 118-99, but still advantageous for Oklahoma City.

When the series went to Memphis, it finally started to look promising for the Grizzlies. At one point, Memphis had a 29-point lead over Oklahoma City. Unfortunately, however, Morant got hurt after playing just 15 minutes and missed the remainder of the series.

During a press conference after the elimination, Morant told reporters he had the Thunder “figured out” before he was injured.

Morant argued the series would have been tied, 2-2, if he had not gotten hurt in Game 3 and missed Game 4.

Of course, this is exactly what Morant should say in this situation. Plus, fans never want to see injuries to the top players in the game.

But the reality is that no matter how well the Grizzlies were playing, Oklahoma City is looking like the most dominant team in basketball.
