The Pittsburgh Steelers posted another one-and-done in the playoffs last year after ending the regular season on a five-game losing streak.

The Steelers and Omar Khan continue to play the waiting game with veteran free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and were thought to be in the market for a rookie in this year’s draft.

But that hasn’t happened yet, and Pittsburgh has already addressed both sides of the ball with their first two picks. With no second-round pick thanks to the trade with Seattle that brought D.K. Metcalf to town, the Steelers had just two picks on the first two days.

They’ll continue the draft process on Saturday.

Now, let’s take a look at the Steelers’ draft picks with our draft tracker:

Round 1 | No. 21 | Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

The story of Pittsburgh’s pick is that it wasn’t a quarterback, but it’s worth giving Harmon his flowers. He’s a worthy prospect, largely viewed as a first-round lineman who rose late in the process.

Harmon’s stock was boosted significantly by his impressive pre-draft testing. Running a sub-5.00-second 40-yard dash at 313 pounds. For those counting at home, that’s 81st-percentile speed at 70th-percentile weight with a 90th-percentile wingspan to boot (Mockdraftable).

Round 2 | No. 83 | Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa

The Steelers picked Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson over quarterbacks Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Milroe, a controversial selection that nonetheless still filled a hole in the starting lineup. Johnson made a college career out of the concept, excelling with his footwork and encouraging burst at 6-1, 224. In 2024, he led the Big Ten in rushing yards (1,537) and touchdowns (21).

Fourth Round | No. 123

Fifth Round | No. 156

Sixth Round | No. 185

Seventh Round | No. 229
