The Los Angeles Rams went back on the clock at No. 90 overall in the third round, making their second selection of the 2025 NFL Draft. After taking Terrance Ferguson at No. 46, the Rams came back and took Michigan outside linebacker Josaiah Stewart with the 90th pick.

Stewart is a standout defender from a dominant Wolverines defense, coming in at 6-foot-1 and 249 pounds. He was a second-team All-Big Ten selection last season, leading the team with 13 tackles for a loss and making 33 total tackles in 11 games. He also forced two fumbles and had 8.5 sacks, contributing as a pass rusher in a big way.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein compared Stewart to Azeez Ojulari, giving him a third-round grade. He’s a bit undersized for the position but that has never scared the Rams away before.

Here’s what USA TODAY’s Aryton Ostly wrote about Stewart in his scouting report.

Short but compact build at 6-foot-1 and 249 pounds. Explosive off the edge and needs little time to generate effective speed-to-power moves. Good hand usage for his development. His size may ultimately hold him back for some teams but he can be a high-energy rotational edge rusher at the very least as a rookie.
